How to Peel a Potato in 10 Seconds
This is a video on how to peel a potato quickly. While the idea is intriguing, I still think peeling the old fashioned way may still be quicker and waste less energy. After all, by the time I have gotten the water hot enough in the pot on the stove, I could have peeled several potatoes. And, who peels only one potato?
The video itself is well made and the instructions are written out and run along the right hand side of the video. This is very useful if you, like me, have no audio on your work computer. [Via Howcast]
And here is the same idea in a crazy Japanese video, but this time it is done over and over so you really get the idea. Is this because they are afraid that the people watching will not understand that the method works on ALL potatoes? [Via YouTube]

I actually like this tip. Now I can serve mashed potatoes without their skins when my sister visits. Until now I simply default into ’skins on’ because I hate peeling potatoes. I always knick my fingers in the process. My sister will be so happy - she hates ’skins on’ smashers!
