Returning from a “business trip” to Las Vegas my wife brought back a jar of Sale Alla Diavola manufactured by A.G. Ferrari Foods. Initially my thoughts were she gets a Vegas “business trip” and I get a jar of salt. Not such a good deal.

But after my first taste of this unique seasoning salt, I just may have to eat my words, literally! This seasoning has such a unique intense flavor I have been putting it on everything I can think of. It is sensational on steamed vegetables and I have been using it on my scrambled eggs almost every morning.

I recommend using half the suggested quantity printed on the label. The flavor is super condensed and I found it very easy to over salt. The label says “Devilishly Spicy Seasoning Salt” and it does list pepper flakes as an ingredient but I did not detect any heat whatsoever.

I am probably a bad judge about such things since my personal heat preferences lie somewhere around the nuclear range. The rest of ingredients are: Italian sea salt, rosemary, sugar, fresh garlic, lemon peel and hot pepper flakes. You can really smell the rosemary and lemon peel. I think this seasoning salt would be fantastic on baked chicken or even grilled salmon.[Visit A.G. Ferrari Foods]
