Nordic Rock: Stone Ice Cubes
I kid you not. These are rocks. For sale. To put in your drinks. Um, they’re reusable. When people say “on the rocks” you’ll have a conversation starter that’s quite possibly amazing.
Supposedly made from “pollution free base rock” which means nothing to me, if you’re a rock guy/gal or geologist or just have a lot of free time – feel free to check up on that for me. I have my doubts. You do get ten of them for the price. Which is in pounds and translates to roughly 25 bucks I think. It’s math though, and I’m not doing it literally.
In any case, they do work. They get cold in the freezer. They even come with a leather bag so you can bring your own rocks when you go out. And hey, I bet they get through airport security okay.
Sometimes, things are so strange I love them. I’m just not sure if this is hitting the zone or not. Thoughts? [ Nordic Rock: Stone Ice Cubes ]

Creepy yet intriguing. My father was a geologist; not sure if he would’ve gotten a kick out of these or not.

Somehow, dropping rocks into a glass doesn’t seem like a good idea.

I think that all comes down to velocity and force. Perhaps safety goggles?

I cannot imagine that these would be very easy to clean. The stone appears to be porous. Wouldn’t you need to be very careful that they stayed sanitary?
