Tulip Spice Grinder by Linden of Sweden
Yes, yes, you can at last go specific with your spices. What I like best about these wee grinders is that you can fill them with your own combinations and herbs. While they don’t replace my coffee grinder for fresh, fine chopping - they are a great convenience for everyday use, year round. From pepper to rosemary (ahhh rosemary) to celery seed - it’s a quick way to release more flavor - especially with dried herbs.
The bright colors and easy compact sizes work in any kitchen - red, white, lime and black with an adjustable ceramic grinder. If nothing else, they also look pulled together and smart in the cupboard. Few things makes me happier than easy, fine herbs - my pet peeve is big dried sticks in the food. And hey, why should salt and pepper get all the fresh grinding preference anyway?
So now, you can reach into the cabinet and release aroma, taste and color with quick ease. Which means even Tuesday’s last-minute meals have a shot at stardom. It’s become my lasting goal to make Tuesdays the highlight of the week. As a day, it’s been sorely neglected. Did I mention how much better taste you get grinding just before use? Egad. I’m repeating myself. So much for the pestle and mortar - but they still look nice on a window sill.
Made by Linden of Sweden, they’re only about $19 each, the grinders will outlast your stock of herbs over and over. [ Linden of Sweden ]
