nesbitts orange soda

The Orca Beverage Company has brought back to life a number of “classic” American sodas. On this site, they present BubbleUp (a lemon lime soda), Dad’s Classic Draft Root Beer (made with the original 1937 formula), Quench (a grapefruit soda from the 1940’s), NuGrape ( a grape soda that was first bottled in 1921), Nesbitt’s of California (they began bottling the orange soda in 1938, and used Marilyn Monroe as a poster girl in 1946), and Sioux City Sodas (which include such interesting flavors as birch beer and sarsaparilla).

One of the more interesting of the sodas here is the original Moxie. A link leads to the history and even music of this drink that gave us the term “moxie” (meaning to have nerve or guts) So get some Moxie and try some![Orca Beverage]

escargot_meatwater Meatwater Have your meat and drink it too

I am still not convinced this is actually a real product. If it is, cavemen of the 21st century rejoice! So what is meatwater? Supposedly meatwater is a protein supplement meal replacement drink.

Their flavors include such unlikely candidates as Beef Jerky, Beef Stroganof, Cheese Burger, Chicken Teriyaki, Dirty Hot Dog, Fish’n Chips, Hungarian Gulash, Italian Sausage, Peking Duck, Tandoori Chicken, Texas BBQ, Wiener Schnitzel, Basic Breakfast, English Breakfast, Brunch Omelette, Pizza Prosciutto, JBBB, Gyros, Cubano and even supposedly an escargot flavored meatwater.

I just can’t seem to wrap my head around this whole concept, I am haunted by visions of a cow being dropped into some giant version of a wheat grass juicer, or the possibility this is just some evil scheme to falsely build the hopes of redneck yuppies. I am just gonna give you the link to their site and let you decide for yourself. [meatwater]
