Tired of the same old homogenized Ozzie and Harriet cooking show? Well then “Cookin With Coolio” may be just what the doctor ordered. A cross between Rachel Ray and Thug Life. This show is nothing if not interesting although his assistant/sidekick kind of creeps me out. In this episode Coolio is showing us how to make spinach that even kids like. If you enjoyed that one check out how to make “Soul Rolls” Give it a watch and let me know what you think. “WARNING” some of these videos have pretty strong language. [Cookin With Coolio}

The Hancock Gourmet Lobster Company offers fresh lobster flown in from Maine. Their offerings include other types of seafood such as mussels, scallops, shrimp, and crab meat, but their main emphasis is lobster. Not just whole lobster, but tails, lobster gazpacho, rolls, lobster pot pie and other dishes. They even have chocolate lobster brownies (but without any real lobster in them, thank goodness!).

The website has recipes and entertaining ideas, soups and Maine favorites. The company was featured on Oprah.[Hancock Lobster Company]

During the Jewish Festival of Passover, anything with yeast in it is taboo food. This is because during the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt, they did not have time to allow their bread to rise.

So, instead of bread, matzo is served. Matzo is an unleavened bread that looks like an unsalted cracker (and tastes worse). In fact, it is said that eating the box instead of the matzo would be better tasting. One major problem with matzo is that is is very hard to break evenly, as it tends to bust into tiny pieces.

Here is a Japanese video that answers the age old question, how do you break a matzo into two even halves?[Via YouTube]

This is a video on how to peel a potato quickly. While the idea is intriguing, I still think peeling the old fashioned way may still be quicker and waste less energy. After all, by the time I have gotten the water hot enough in the pot on the stove, I could have peeled several potatoes. And, who peels only one potato?

The video itself is well made and the instructions are written out and run along the right hand side of the video. This is very useful if you, like me, have no audio on your work computer. [Via Howcast]

And here is the same idea in a crazy Japanese video, but this time it is done over and over so you really get the idea. Is this because they are afraid that the people watching will not understand that the method works on ALL potatoes? [Via YouTube]
