Today we learn Rajma recipe. In other words recipe of kidney bean.
As you know, Rajma is rich in protein in addition to soybean. Also, vitamins and carbohydrate are found in it. And also potassium is found in plenty in it.
Rajma curry will come in full restaurant-style. So let’s start making this Rajma Masala curry.
Ingredients for rajma recipe –
- Rajma – 250 grams (boiled)
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Ginger – 1-inch piece
- Green Chili – 2 to 3
- Garlic – 12 to 15 (buds)
- Onions – 2 to 3
- Tomatoes – 3 to 4
- Asafoetida – 2 pinch
- Turmeric powder – half a teaspoon
- Coriander Powder – 1 teaspoon
- Red chilli powder – half a teaspoon
- Garam Masala – half a teaspoon
- Cumin powder – half a teaspoon
- Salt – as per taste
- Butter – 1 teaspoon
- Oil – 2 (tablespoons)
- Coriander – finely chopped
- let’s start the recipe
First, we will put a pan on the gas, and put two spoons of oil in it,
And heat the oil well, then add asafoetida to it.
After adding asafoetida, we will add one teaspoon of cumin seeds, and fry the cumin seeds for 20 to 30 seconds.
Fry garlic onion in oil
Now we’ll add finely chopped ginger and garlic. If you want, you can also use ginger garlic paste.
Ginger garlic paste will be cooked on medium heat. Ginger garlic fried.
Make spice paste
Now we’ll take half a cup of water in a bowl and add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder solution to it. After cooking a little, we will add onion paste, and mix the onion, and then we will be able to cook it on a medium flame for one minute.
Now our onion has cooked a little bit. Now add tomato paste and cook, if you want, you can chop tomatoes finely.
If you are using finely chopped tomatoes, then add a little salt to it.
Now we’ll cook it, and now we’ll fry it with cumin powder, coriander powder and black pepper powder, and the rest of the spices.
We’ll cook it for 20 to 30 seconds. Then cover the pan and cook it on low heat.
We will keep stirring it occasionally, so that the spices that we have fry well, and fry, now our spices are fried when the oil starts separating from the spices.
Then we are cooked well. Now we had boiled water in it. Pour it and cook it on high flame, till it comes to a boil.
Till then we have to boil it and will mix the water well with all the spices.
We will not thicken the curry in the state, because we eat it with rice and casserole if you want to eat it with bread. Only then keep its gravy thin.
And after adding a little water to it, the heat will rise, and now we will mix finely chopped, green chillies and chopped ginger in it. This gives an excellent test in Rajma.
Now we will mix boiled beans in it. Do not overcook the beans. If you cook more, then it will become a mess, then the test will not be good. And it doesn’t look good either.
After this, we will mix salt in it. Keep in mind that we had added salt even while boiling the Rajma. Therefore, we will reduce the use of salt here.
Keep less gravy in rajma recipe
After adding salt, mix it. Now we’ll cover the pan and cook on low heat for two to three minutes. Rajma is ready for us.
You can make its gravy according to you more or less. Now we will mix it well by adding garam masala to it.
Garnish the vegetable
Now we will use a little bit of green coriander in it, and in a bit of garnish, after adding coriander leaves, we will put a spoon of butter in it. Now it is ready to be our kidney bean (rajma recipe).
Now we will cut round slices of onion over it. It would be great to see this. You can serve it with cumin rice, pulao rice, paratha.
Things to keep in mind for rajma recipe
To reduce the amount of salt in the vegetable, remember that we used one teaspoon of salt while boiling the Rajma.
If you add tomato paste, otherwise you will add chopped tomatoes.
If we use finely chopped tomatoes, then we will add two pinches of salt to it, because it melts our tomatoes very quickly.
Keep in mind that only after the oil is adequately heated, add cumin seeds, otherwise if the oil is not cooked properly, the taste of the kingdom may fade.
